It was opened in 1866, not far away from the town center, on the territory of Tisa’s old flood basin, more precisely on its first, lower terrace.

In this natural oasis a lot of tree species live like ash tree, sycamore tree and pine tree, and different kinds of shrubs. In the Garden there is a recreation center for young and elderly people as well. Besides the swimming-pools there is a stadium, a skittle alley, a football pitch, a basketball court, and a playground for the youngest.
